Fusilli Quickie

4.4. Food (8)On a lazy evening with minimal patience to spend more than 30 minutes in the kitchen yet hoping to come out with something tasty, I decided to give my first shot at Italian recipes. Here I used Fusilli variety of Pasta.

Ingredients

  • Pasta (1/2 packet )
  • Onion (1/2 chopped)
  • Garlic (2, chopped)
  • Sausages (Chicken / Beef / Pork 3, cut into small pieces)
  • Basil leaves (a handful (optional))
  • Oregano (a handful (optional))
  • Pepper (a pinch)
  • Tomato ketchup (4 tbsp.)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Water

Method

  • In a saucepan, boil water with a pinch of salt and cook pasta till its soft. Drain the water completely. Keep it aside
  • Add olive oil in a hot pan. Add onion and garlic. Sauté well
  • Add the sausages with a pinch of pepper. Sauté well 
  • Add the basil leaves and oregano to the sausages and mix well 
  • Finally add the cooked pasta. To this mixture add tomato ketchup and mix well. Serve hot

Note

  • This recipe can be prepared using any variety of pasta
  • I strongly recommend to use any Italian herbs as this would add that extra Italian flavour
  • You can even add mozzarella cheese as additional topping
